A fresh face has joined the cast of the popular TV show Coronation Street, and viewers will likely recognize the actor playing the new character.
Recently, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) underwent complex surgery to save her baby daughter, who had a mass on her neck. During an intense car crash involving Shona, her husband David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), and other residents like Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) and Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), the characters faced a harrowing ordeal.
Following the accident, Shona went into labor prematurely, leading to a rushed operation back in Weatherfield. In a twist, the specialist surgeon meant to perform the operation was unavailable, prompting the arrival of Dr. Vincent Harper from Bristol as a replacement.
Dr. Harper successfully performed a tracheostomy on the baby during the operation to facilitate breathing. Fortunately, both Shona and the baby came out of the surgery well. Dr. Harper informed the couple that experts would later attempt to remove the mass on the baby’s neck.
The actor portraying Dr. Vincent Harper, John Hollingworth, is a familiar face on screen, having appeared in various shows and movies over the years. Notably, he played Captain Henshawe in the BBC drama Poldark from 2015 to 2017 and had roles in shows like Doc Martin, Call The Midwife, and movies such as Transformers: The Last Knight.
