In a conversation with Woman’s Own, Carol, who tied the knot with her 43-year-old partner in Thailand in February 2018, expressed her reluctance towards undergoing another facelift. She described the previous procedure as a traumatic experience for both her and Mark, despite the satisfactory end result.
In October 2025, the television personality, who initially met Mark at a Loose Women event in 2008, admitted that the facelift did not provide the lasting results she had hoped for. She revealed in her Best magazine column that she had started to dislike her appearance, feeling disconnected from her own reflection.
Carol mentioned her aversion to frequent cosmetic enhancements like Botox, contrasting herself with women who invest heavily in such procedures. She also highlighted Shirley Ballas, a fellow celebrity, who opted for non-surgical treatments to maintain her youthful look.
Despite Carol’s concerns about her appearance, she noted that Mark appreciates her natural look. The couple’s age difference and Mark’s positive attitude towards aging have helped Carol accept her changing appearance.
