“Android Users Urged: Update Now to Patch 107 Security Flaws”

Android users are advised to promptly check for the latest Google software update in their device settings. Google has confirmed the release of an update that addresses 107 security vulnerabilities in the Android operating system, with two of them being zero-day exploits actively targeted by cybercriminals.

The most critical issue identified by Google is a security vulnerability in the Framework component that could result in remote denial of service without needing additional execution privileges. The severity of these flaws increases if device protections are disabled or bypassed.

Owners of Pixel devices should immediately receive the update, while users of other Android manufacturers like Samsung, Honor, and OnePlus may experience delays in the rollout. It is crucial to stay vigilant and install the update as soon as it is available.

Google emphasized that newer Android versions contain enhancements that make exploitation more challenging and encourages all users to update whenever possible.

To update an Android device:
– Connect to Wi-Fi for faster and more reliable downloads.
– Ensure your phone is charged at least 50% or connected to a power source.
– Navigate to Settings, then select System and System update.
– Check for updates and download any available ones.
– After the download is complete, initiate the installation. Your device will restart to finalize the process.

It is strongly recommended that Android users install the update promptly to shield their devices from these newly exposed threats.
