“Amazon Unveils Major Update for Fire TV Stick Models”

Amazon is rolling out a major update for select Fire TV Stick models to enhance user experience. The update includes a fresh design with modern typography, color gradients, and improved homescreen layouts. Users can expect faster navigation, with performance improvements of up to 30 percent promised by Amazon.

Apart from the visual and speed enhancements, users will now be able to pin up to 20 apps on their home screen, an increase from the previous limit of six. Access to Games, Art & Photos, and the Ambient Experience has been simplified via the Menu button on the remote control.

A new shortcut panel accessible by long-pressing the Home button has been added, offering quick access to essential Fire TV controls such as audio and display settings. Additionally, Amazon is introducing Alexa+, an upgraded assistant aimed at improving content discovery and user interaction.

In addition to the Fire TV Stick update, Amazon is revamping the Fire TV mobile app to allow users to browse content, manage watchlists, and play titles directly on their TVs. The redesigned app mirrors the updated Fire TV interface, turning smartphones into a convenient second screen for discovering new shows and managing recommendations on the go.

The update will initially roll out in the U.S., with global availability expected later this year. The new Fire TV features will first come to the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus, Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen), and Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series in the U.S., with plans to expand to more devices and countries in the upcoming months, including the latest Fire TV 4K streaming media players.
