“Alcaraz and Ferrero Split After Seven-Year Partnership”

Carlos Alcaraz and Juan Carlos Ferrero have decided to part ways after a successful seven-year partnership. Ferrero, who began coaching Alcaraz when he was just 15 years old, played a pivotal role in Alcaraz’s journey to becoming a champion.

During their time together, Alcaraz achieved remarkable success, including winning six Grand Slam titles, attaining the top spot in the global rankings, and securing an Olympic silver medal. Ferrero, a former world No. 1 and Grand Slam champion himself, was recognized alongside Samuel Lopez with the 2025 ATP Coach of the Year Award shortly before their split.

Alcaraz took to social media to announce the separation, expressing gratitude for the transformational experience and growth he had under Ferrero’s guidance. Similarly, Ferrero shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, reminiscing about the shared moments, growth, and challenges they faced together.

Although the reason for Ferrero’s departure from Alcaraz’s coaching team remains undisclosed, Alcaraz continues to receive guidance from Samuel Lopez, who operates within Ferrero’s academy in Alicante. The duo did not elaborate on the specifics behind the coaching change.
