“Trump’s Son Alerts London Police to Assault”

Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, reached out to Metropolitan Police officers, expressing his closeness to an alleged rape victim in a London case. Barron, 19, contacted the UK police force after witnessing an attack on the victim via video call from the US. Matvei Rumiantsev, a 22-year-old Russian national, faces charges including assault and two counts of rape against the unnamed victim at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

During a video call with the victim on FaceTime in January last year, Barron alerted London police officers about the ongoing assault. A transcript of the call revealed Barron’s urgency in reporting the incident despite initial resistance to providing specific details. He later cooperated with the operator and expressed willingness to assist in the investigation.

In a subsequent email response to police inquiries, Barron described the brief but impactful moment he witnessed during the call, highlighting the victim’s distress and the presence of an unidentified man. He emphasized his proactive measures in contacting the authorities and involving friends in the US to support the victim’s claims of long-standing harassment by the accused.

Despite initial communication, Barron did not respond to follow-up emails from the police. The victim acknowledged Barron’s intervention as pivotal in her safety, describing his call as a crucial moment of assistance. Rumiantsev, the accused assailant, denies the charges of assault, rape, and other offenses, with claims of provocation and self-defense presented by his defense counsel.

The trial proceedings continue as the court deliberates on the conflicting testimonies and evidence presented in the case.
