Scottie Scheffler Joins $100M Club with American Express Win

Professional golfer Scottie Scheffler has entered the exclusive $100 million earnings club alongside Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy following his recent impressive victory at The American Express tournament. The current world No.1 displayed early dominance, signaling to the reigning Masters champion that he is a formidable contender in this year’s Major tournaments.

Scheffler, who had suffered an injury last year, made a strong comeback in 2026 with a remarkable performance in California, finishing with a six-under 66 for a total of 27-under par and securing a four-shot victory. This win marked his 20th PGA Tour victory in the last four years, granting him a lifetime membership alongside Woods and McIlroy as the only players to achieve 20 PGA Tour titles and four majors before turning 30.

With his on-course earnings totaling $101,109,136, Scheffler has now joined the elite ranks of Woods and McIlroy in surpassing nine figures in earnings on the PGA Tour. Reflecting on his achievements, Scheffler expressed his gratitude and determination to continue his successful career trajectory.

Notably, Scheffler’s recent success has surpassed that of McIlroy, with 11 more wins since his first victory at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open. Demonstrating consistent high performance, Scheffler has maintained top finishes in his last 13 stroke-play events, with his lowest placement being tied for eighth since The Players last March.

Acknowledging Scheffler’s outstanding performance, former world No.1 Jason Day praised his remarkable consistency and competitive spirit on the course. Looking ahead, Scheffler remains focused on further improvement despite his previous season’s slow start, emphasizing his readiness for upcoming challenges.

In addition to Scheffler’s triumph, teenager Blades Brown made an impression during the tournament, sharing the final group with Scheffler and showcasing his talent on the course. Brown’s experience playing alongside a champion like Scheffler left a lasting impact, highlighting the inspiring nature of elite-level competition in golf.

As the golf world marvels at Scheffler’s achievements, his dedication and potential for further success continue to captivate fans and competitors alike. With the Masters tournament on the horizon, all eyes will be on Scheffler as he aims to build upon his recent triumphs and solidify his status among golf’s elite players.
