Disney+ has rolled out a special discount on its subscription to compete with Netflix and HBO Max. For a limited time, both new and eligible returning subscribers can access Disney+ for £3.99 per month for three months.
Typically priced at £5.99 per month for the Standard with Ads tier, customers can now enjoy a three-month subscription for the cost of two. The offer expires on May 6, requiring customers to sign up for Disney+ before then to secure the discounted rate.
Subscribers who meet the deadline will lock in the £3.99 monthly rate for three months, making Disney+ the most economical major streaming service compared to Netflix (£5.99), Prime Video (£5.99), HBO Max (£4.99), and Apple TV (£9.99).
Following the promotional period, Disney+ will automatically renew at the regular £5.99 rate if not canceled. Customers aged 18 and above can opt for an ad-supported plan at £3.99, with the option to upgrade to Disney+ Standard for £6.99 (previously £9.99) or Disney+ Premium for £9.99 (previously £14.99).
The more expensive plans offer additional benefits such as enhanced picture quality up to 4K UHD and HDR, Dolby Atmos support, and up to four simultaneous streams. Sky has also started offering a free Disney+ subscription with its revised Ultimate TV bundle, including Netflix and HBO Max.
A Disney+ subscription now starts at £5.99 per month, granting access to popular series like Rivals, Only Murders in the Building, and The Bear, along with a vast library of content from Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and more.
This package, priced at £24 per month, includes free streaming subscriptions valued at approximately £240 per year and provides access to 135 channels like Sky Atlantic. Disney+ is gearing up for the second season of Rivals, a successful drama starring David Tennant that garnered significant attention in its debut year.
The Dame Jilly Cooper adaptation will debut in two six-part segments, starting with a three-episode premiere on May 15. It will join a lineup of new releases currently available for streaming, including The Testaments, a dystopian drama set in the aftermath of The Handmaid’s Tale, and the second chapter of the conspiracy-thriller Paradise.
Numerous fan-favorite shows have made a return this year, including Scrubs and Malcolm in the Middle, both launching on Disney+ with revival series after an extended hiatus. They are accompanied by a plethora of movies and shows from Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar, such as Daredevil: Born Again and Maul – Shadow Lord.
Reality TV enthusiasts can indulge in Raising Chelsea, featuring Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo navigating parenthood. Disney+ has become synonymous with globally renowned franchises and has garnered positive reviews on Trustpilot.
Satisfied customers have praised Disney+ for its extensive content library, ease of use, and affordability, highlighting a wide range of series and movies for all family members to enjoy.
