Amazon is set to release a major upgrade for Fire TV devices this month, promising a revamped user experience that is cleaner, faster, and more organized. The update aims to enhance content discovery for users by introducing new categories such as movies, TV shows, news, live content, and sports from all their subscribed services.
In addition to the improved organization, users can now pin their favorite apps to the home screen for quick access, benefit from a more user-friendly menu system, and easily access a Shortcut Panel by pressing and holding the Home button without interrupting their viewing experience. The latest system update is also touted to deliver a performance boost of up to 30%.
For football enthusiasts gearing up for a summer of matches, Fire TV will offer a dedicated football hub to keep users informed about upcoming games and provide direct access to live matches via local service providers.
The upgraded Fire TV experience is currently rolling out to Fire TV Stick HD (newest model) and Amazon Ember Artline devices, with plans to extend the update to other models like the Fire TV Stick 4K Max in the near future. Amazon has assured users that more devices will receive the update in the coming weeks.
If users do not immediately see the update on their compatible devices, Amazon recommends restarting the device and checking for the new interface. If the update is still not visible after the restart, users are advised to wait as the update will be automatically delivered in the following weeks.
