The 33-year-old actress, recognized for her role as Princess Anne in Netflix’s hit series “The Crown” and as child psychologist Briony Ariston in “Adolescence,” revealed that Romesh Ranganathan, a 47-year-old comedian, was once her Head of Sixth Form at Hazelwick School in Three Bridges, where he also taught math.
During a joint interview with her co-star Malachi Kirby on Sky News while promoting the second season of the Disney+ series “A Thousand Blows,” Erin recounted a past incident where she was called into a meeting with “Mr. Ranganathan” and her father after being removed from her English Literature class for not completing the assigned reading. She reminisced about her interaction with Mr. Ranganathan, who was then just a teacher, not the comedian he is now.
Despite her rising fame, Erin expressed her eagerness to reconnect with Romesh, emphasizing how cool it would be to meet him again. Hazelwick School has seen its fair share of notable alumni, including Gareth Southgate, Dan Walker, and Chico, in addition to Erin and Romesh.
