Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience an uptick in their monthly bills starting next month following the announcement of a new price increase. The majority of customers will witness a £1.50 per month increment, translating to an annual surge of £18. However, some individuals may face varying adjustments to their bills.
The revised charges will be applicable from February 14, 2026, marking the first instance in over seven years that Sky Mobile has implemented a price alteration for customers under contract. In case subscribers are dissatisfied with the price hike and are within the minimum duration of their agreement, they have the option to cancel their package without incurring any early termination fees.
It is worth noting that the cost of the Sky Mobile social tariff, catering to those with limited incomes, will remain unchanged.
According to a Sky Mobile spokesperson, the increase in prices is attributed to escalating wholesale network expenses. Affected customers will receive notifications starting today regarding the impending bill adjustments. The spokesperson stated, “To sustain the expected quality, service, and value for our customers, a majority of Sky Mobile users will witness a £1.50 rise in their monthly bills from February.”
The spokesperson further emphasized the careful consideration involved in such decisions, highlighting the company’s adherence to not altering mobile prices mid-contract for more than seven years. The adjustment reflects the ongoing industry-wide cost pressures while enabling continued investments in network infrastructure and enhancing the overall customer experience.
