“Travel Expert Names Estonia’s Tallinn Best City in Europe”

Away from the well-known tourist hubs like Barcelona, Venice, or Dubrovnik lies a modest European city that a travel expert has acclaimed as the finest globally.

Henrik Jeppesen has journeyed to every nation on Earth, totaling 193 countries as recognized by the United Nations. At just 37 years old, he has visited over 2,000 destinations and amassed a wealth of firsthand knowledge and recommendations from his extensive travels since he was 17.

Originally from Thy, in northwest Jutland, Denmark, Henrik, a father of one, is well-versed in European destinations. Despite his global adventures, one city stands out for him, easily reachable in under three hours from London.

“In my view, the best city in Europe is Tallinn, the capital of Estonia,” Henrik shared exclusively with the Mirror. “It’s often overlooked by European travelers who tend to frequent larger cities like London, Rome, Paris, and Berlin. I believe it’s a highly underrated gem.”

Henrik elaborated on what makes Tallinn so exceptional, citing its affordability compared to other major cities, particularly praising its Old Town as the best he has seen worldwide. The well-preserved historic buildings create a unique atmosphere that transports visitors into a different era, offering excellent value for food and experiences.

Beyond its charm and culinary offerings, Tallinn boasts a range of attractions, including beautiful parks, a vibrant market with delectable food, modern shopping centers, museums, and even a nearby waterfall. Henrik emphasized the city’s laid-back atmosphere and outstanding air quality, a rarity in bustling capitals.

Highlighting the convenience of the Tallinn card, which provides free public transport and discounted access to attractions, Henrik recommended exploring nearby islands like Saaremaa and Hiiumaa, as well as the seaside town of Pärnu, known for its pristine beaches.

The warmth and friendliness of the local people further enhance the Tallinn experience, with Henrik recalling a time when strangers went out of their way to assist him, showcasing the city’s hospitality and community spirit.
