While over three million UK homes have already made the switch to Digital Voice, many others still need to transition. BT emphasizes the importance of taking action now to avoid disruptions to phone and broadband services as the deadline nears.
Switching to digital services is relatively straightforward, and most existing BT handsets are compatible with digital landlines. Maintaining the same phone number and billing without any price increase is expected. Individuals may need to plug their current home phone into the broadband hub instead of the traditional wall socket to adapt. For those with additional needs using telecare devices or pendant alarms, informing the provider promptly is advised to receive appropriate support.
