Ryanair has unveiled new flight options to a sunny destination where temperatures in December can reach up to 18C, all starting from £15. The airline is increasing its services at Murcia airport by 37% for the upcoming winter season, adding four routes. This includes a fresh route to London Stansted with four weekly flights, as well as extra flights to Birmingham and Dublin.
With fares beginning at just £15, passengers flying to and from Murcia can expect more choices at competitive prices thanks to the increased connections. Alejandra Ruiz, the spokesperson for Ryanair in Spain, highlighted that this expansion will lead to the creation of over 450 local jobs.
For the 2025/2026 winter season, Ryanair’s schedule in Murcia aims to enhance connectivity beyond peak times, further supporting the local economy by creating more job opportunities and promoting year-round tourism.
Despite the growth at Murcia Airport, Ryanair has had to reduce one million seats from its total Spain schedule due to AENA charges rising by 6.62% and ineffective incentive programs. This financial strain on regional airports has made it challenging for Ryanair to justify continued investment in areas where growth is impeded by high charges.
Known for its culture, warm climate, historical significance, culinary delights, and beautiful beaches, Murcia remains a popular destination for travelers seeking diverse experiences.
