Apple has had a packed week with the launch of several new products. Among them are the iPhone 17e, upgraded iPad Air, and new MacBook Pro models featuring the latest M5 processors. Adding to the lineup is the unveiling of the MacBook Neo, a budget-friendly laptop that many were anticipating.
The MacBook Neo stands out with its colorful design, impressive performance, and a high-resolution 13-inch screen priced at just £599, making it the most affordable Mac available at the moment. This price is significantly lower than the latest MacBook Air, also introduced this week.
Powered by Apple’s A18 Pro-series smartphone processor, the Neo may not match the speed of M-powered PCs but is more than capable of handling daily digital tasks efficiently. Running on macOS, it offers access to popular applications like Microsoft Word, Pages, and iMovie.
In terms of battery life, the Neo boasts over 15 hours on a single charge, ensuring extended usability without the need to constantly seek a power source. Additional features include two USB-C ports, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, Touch ID fingerprint scanner, dual side-firing speakers supporting Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos, a Magic Keyboard, and a Multi-Touch trackpad.
Available in Silver, Indigo, Blush, and Citrus colors, the MacBook Neo is open for pre-orders and will hit stores next week, as confirmed by John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, who expressed excitement about the product’s affordability and unique features.
