“Public Sends Strong Message to Starmer as Reform Leads Polls”

The public has sent a strong message to Keir Starmer, indicating the need for him to address certain issues. According to exclusive Deltapoll research, Labour is currently polling at 20%, with the Tories at 19% and Reform leading at 30%. Despite coming into power last year and achieving some milestones, Labour still has ground to cover in the polls.

The Prime Minister has outlined plans for significant policy changes in 2026, aiming to turn Britain’s renewal into reality. These upcoming policies include enhanced neighborhood policing, removal of the two-child benefit cap, a freeze on rail fares, and a planned reduction in energy bills.

Leadership approval ratings for the PM show a net score of -46, with a majority believing he is not performing well, even including a significant portion of past Labour voters. This feedback comes ahead of crucial local elections in May, including those in Scotland and Wales.

Kemi Badenoch’s approval rating stands at -9, with a notable percentage undecided on her performance. Despite Reform’s lead in the polls, Nigel Farage’s party faces challenges with approval ratings and public trust on various issues.

Reform UK has faced distrust on defense, the economy, immigration, and education. The party’s proposals, such as mass deportation and a patriotic school curriculum, have led to mixed public opinion.

Joe Twyman, Co-founder and Director of Deltapoll, highlighted the challenging year for the Labour government and Keir Starmer. With several years until the next general election, there is an opportunity to improve public opinion, but the government faces increasing difficulties if sentiment does not change.
