A mother who was discovered deceased with her six-year-old twins was laid to rest separately against her family’s wishes. Her children’s remains were handed over to her former abusive spouse.
Charity Beallis, aged 40, along with her twin daughter and son, were found fatally shot at their residence in Bonanza, Arkansas, during a wellness check on December 3. Beallis had been entangled in a contentious divorce battle with her ex-husband, and the tragic incident occurred just a day after a court hearing where she was striving for full custody.
In close proximity to the crime scene, various family possessions, including framed photos, children’s artwork, and a gold necklace inscribed with the names of Charity’s twins, were discarded in a dumpster and discovered three days later. The ex-husband, Dr. Randall Beallis, had a history of domestic violence, having previously been arrested for assaulting Charity. He pleaded guilty to the charges of third-degree battery and was prohibited from contacting Charity or her relatives without a court order.
Following a court ruling, he obtained custody of the twins’ remains, despite initially being granted joint custody a day before their tragic demise. Charity’s body was released to her eldest son, John Powell, 24, who laid his mother to rest on December 29. He expressed his dismay to the Daily Mail, stating, “I was hoping to have them all together, as they deserved and would have wanted. It’s just been overwhelming. I’m unaware if the kids have been buried or cremated, or their whereabouts, as Randall has provided no information. It’s truly heartbreaking.”
Charity confided in her eldest son about her fears during the custody battle and expressed feeling isolated when seeking help from various sources, including a local prosecutor. She reiterated her plight, highlighting the challenges faced by victims in seeking justice. John recounted his mother’s apprehensions, stating she knew she would need substantial support to navigate the situation successfully.
Randall’s legal representative conveyed his client’s grief over the deaths of Charity and their children, maintaining Randall’s innocence. The attorney affirmed that Randall cooperated with the authorities and supported the ongoing investigation. Despite the tragic events, Randall has not been identified as a suspect, and the case remains under police scrutiny.
The circumstances surrounding the deaths of Charity and her twins are still shrouded in mystery, and law enforcement continues to probe the incident without implicating Randall Beallis.
