“Anthony Joshua Gears Up for Miami Showdown with Jake Paul”

Anthony Joshua has made preparations for his upcoming fight against Jake Paul by traveling to Miami early to acclimate to the time zone. After suffering a knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois in September 2024, Joshua has been out of action due to injury but has now recovered from elbow surgery and resumed full training for his return to the boxing ring.

The announcement of Joshua facing Paul came as a surprise to many, with the fight scheduled to take place on December 19 in Miami, Florida. The bout will consist of eight three-minute rounds with both fighters using 10oz gloves. Despite being the heavy favorite, Joshua is not underestimating Paul and is training diligently for the match, approaching it with the same seriousness as a world title fight.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed Joshua’s sharp condition ahead of the fight, emphasizing the boxer’s commitment and focus. The highly anticipated clash between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul will be live-streamed on Netflix, available for free with Sky’s £15 Essential TV bundle, marking the “lowest ever price” for Sky TV subscribers.

Hearn revealed that Joshua has been instructed not to exceed 245lb for the fight, a weight limit set for the match against Paul. Despite initial concerns about the weight cut, Joshua seems on track to meet the requirement without significant issues. Hearn admitted to some misrepresentation during negotiations regarding Joshua’s weight, but the fight is proceeding as planned.

The showdown between Joshua and Paul is set to take place in Miami on December 19, just days before Christmas. The fight is expected to begin around 11 pm local time, potentially translating to 4 am in the UK. Fight times may vary based on the undercard duration, with the event broadcast live on Netflix for viewers to enjoy.
