“Brigitte Macron to Present Evidence in Defamation Case”

The wife of French President Emmanuel Macron is preparing to submit photographic evidence to confirm her gender in a U.S. court. The legal team representing the President and his wife, Brigitte Macron, will use these photos as part of their defamation case against right-wing commentator Candace Owens. The lawsuit, initiated in July, alleges that Owens spread false and defamatory information that led to a campaign of public humiliation and bullying.

In an interview on the BBC’s Fame Under Fire podcast, lead attorney Tom Clare stated that the Macrons are ready to demonstrate the falsehood of Owens’ claims both broadly and specifically. Clare hinted at the use of expert scientific testimony to refute the allegations but did not provide specifics on the content of the photographs. When asked if the images would depict Mrs. Macron during her pregnancy, Clare declined to elaborate, mentioning that the evidence would be presented in court.

Clare expressed that Owens’ remarks deeply disturbed the Macrons and emphasized the emotional toll of having to present such evidence. Despite the challenges, Mrs. Macron is prepared to undergo this public scrutiny to set the record straight. Clare acknowledged that the controversy surrounding the claims had been a distraction for the French President but clarified that it had not significantly affected his performance. He highlighted the pressures faced by the President due to his position, noting that external distractions could impact his responsibilities.
