Nathan Fielder, the well-known Vancouver comedian, writer, and director, has revealed a sneak peek of his upcoming project. The teaser released recently unveils his next venture, a documentary focusing on Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, who gained notoriety for her fraudulent activities in 2022. The documentary, titled “You Can See Everything,” co-created with filmmaker Lance Oppenheim, delves into the period leading up to Holmes’s imprisonment in 2023.
Fielder, renowned for his show “Nathan For You,” where he dispenses unconventional business advice, has partnered with A24, a popular distributor among Gen Z audiences, for the release of this documentary. The trailer, characterized by A24’s distinct visual style, features a captivating one-minute interaction between Fielder and Holmes, showcasing a moment of intense confrontation.
The documentary’s surprise screening at the Telluride Film Festival received high praise from critics, with Daniel Howat describing it as “hysterical, shocking, and insane,” while Erik Nordgren hailed it as the best film of the year. This project is reminiscent of Fielder’s past uncomfortable interviews, such as the one with CBC president Hubert T. Lacroix in 2008.
“You Can See Everything” is scheduled to premiere in theaters in the coming month, promising a compelling exploration of the events surrounding Elizabeth Holmes’s downfall.
