“International Corgi Event: 150 Dogs Compete in Vilnius!”

Over 150 corgis came together for an international event celebrating the beloved small herding dogs that have their roots in Wales. The fifth Corgi Race Vilnius held at Vingis Park in the Lithuanian capital attracted participants from nine countries, including the United States, Britain, and various European nations.

Organizer Edvinas Miskas highlighted the event’s growth, from 40 corgis in the first year to 150 from diverse countries this year. The competition featured various activities beyond just racing, such as a costume parade showcasing creative outfits and a “smartest nose” challenge where corgis searched for hidden treats.

In the final race covering 25 meters, the American corgi GG emerged victorious, with Mr. Corgington from the U.S. finishing a close second and Lithuania’s Moka securing third place. The event also featured a loudest bark competition, won by Mr. Corgington, who had trained diligently for this contest.

Additionally, the event highlighted the unique talents of the corgis and their owners, with activities like the costume parade and the smartest nose challenge. The competition brought together corgi enthusiasts from around the world, making it a truly international celebration of these beloved dogs.
