“Four Lucky Investors Win £100K in Premium Bonds Draw”

Four fortunate Premium Bonds investors have secured £100,000 prizes by acquiring their winning bonds exclusively in December. These bonds were only eligible for the February 2026 draw onwards, requiring a full month of ownership for inclusion. Notably, one winner bought a £50 bond in December 2025.

Residing in Essex, one winner holds a total of £19,150 in Premium Bonds. Meanwhile, the second winner, residing in Brighton and Hove, possesses a winning bond valued at £13,000 and holds £38,025 in total. The remaining two winners, each with £100,000 prizes, reside in Cheshire and Hampshire/Isle of Wight.

Every month, two £1 million Premium Bond prizes are distributed. In the most recent February 2026 draw, one of the substantial winners hails from Liverpool, while the other is based in Central Bedfordshire.

Premium Bonds, a savings product offered by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), differ from traditional interest-bearing accounts as they enter holders into a monthly prize draw. While the minimum prize is £25, the grand prize can reach £1 million, though monthly wins are not guaranteed. Typically, numerous smaller prizes are awarded compared to the larger sums.

The issuance of thousands of £25 prizes contrasts with the limited two £1 million prizes each month. The maximum amount that can be saved in Premium Bonds is £50,000, with each pound invested corresponding to a unique bond number. The odds of winning a prize monthly stand at 22,000 to 1 per £1 bond. Winners are notified via email or text message from NS&I, with the option to receive the funds in their bank account or reinvest in Premium Bonds. Utilizing the NS&I online prize checker tool or the Premium Bonds prize checker app enables individuals to ascertain if they have won.

Currently, the prize fund rate for Premium Bonds is set at 3.60%, consistent since the August 2025 draw. Recent data shared with This is Money revealed the luckiest areas for winning Premium Bond prizes, with Hampshire and the Isle of Wight featuring prominently. Hampshire and the Isle of Wight residents secured 42 £100,000 prizes in 2025, making it the second most fortunate location. Essex, with 37 prizes worth £100,000, and Outer London, where 32 individuals won £100,000 prizes, followed closely. Notably, the £1 million jackpot was claimed twice in Norwich and Cumbria in 2025.
