The body of a young boy who disappeared on New Year’s Eve has been discovered alongside his faithful dog. Johnathan Boley, also known as John John, vanished while playing in his father’s backyard with his younger brother and their dog Buck.
Wearing a yellow Mickey Mouse shirt, black pants, and Paw Patrol shoes, Johnathan was last seen playing near the fence line with his brother and their dog before they crossed over.
The search for the missing child in Walker County, Alabama, spanned 500 acres and involved 160 volunteers and 126 first responders. Tragically, the boy was found deceased on January 2, with his dog leading searchers to his body. There were no signs of violence or assault.
A preliminary autopsy conducted by the Walker County Coroner revealed that Johnathan died from hypothermia, with no immediate signs of foul play reported. The boys were visiting their father, Jameson Kyle Boley, from Florida, where they lived with their mother Angel, as part of their visitation arrangements.
Upon arrival at the father’s residence to search for the missing child, authorities allegedly discovered explosives, prompting a temporary halt to the search for safety reasons. It was later determined that the devices were not dangerous. Reportedly, Boley faces charges unrelated to the disappearance, including the unlawful manufacturing of destructive devices or substances.
Similarly, a sad discovery was made in the search for a missing 14-year-old boy in Co Meath, Ireland, last month. Benjamin Spot went missing on November 19 and was last seen cycling in Navan. Tragically, his body was found, leading to the conclusion of the missing person appeal.
