Freeview has announced updates to its TV guide, including channel relocations and a name change. Notably, Talk (Ch 280) will no longer be accessible on Freeview, requiring viewers to use the official Talk app or alternative platforms like Samsung TVs, Roku devices, and LG screens to access the service.
In addition to the channel closure, Freeview’s recent changes involve renaming Wedotv Big Stories on channel 275 to simply Wedotv. Furthermore, three services – Ketchup TV, Ketchup Too, and Cartoon Classics – are shifting to new channel positions. Ketchup TV moves from Ch 209 to Ch 208, Ketchup Too from Ch 210 to Ch 209, and Cartoon Classics from Ch 214 to Ch 210.
Freeview stated that broadcasters will implement these changes on June 25, 2026, emphasizing that channels frequently evolve on the platform. To ensure access to updated channels and the TV Guide, users are advised to retune their TVs via the settings menu.
To retune your TV:
– Press the menu button on your TV remote control
– Choose ‘set-up’, ‘installation’, or ‘update’
– Opt for ‘first-time installation’ or a similar option
– Confirm the deletion of existing channels and save any new channels found during the retune process
