The TV personality confirmed the need for the operation during a conversation with his close friend Pete Wicks on their podcast, Staying Relevant. The 37-year-old former TOWIE star revealed that he suffered a fall at home over the holiday season and is seeking guidance on the matter. Mentioning a missed appointment for the issue from the previous month, Sam remarked, “That’s two men who are going for surgery this year.” Pete then hinted at Sam’s upcoming venture into music, which necessitates the surgery on his vocal cords.
Clarifying the situation further, Sam explained to Pete that he has a cyst on his vocal cords, which requires removal and will result in three days of vocal rest. According to NHS, these non-cancerous nodules develop on the edges of the vocal cords due to prolonged and forceful vocal cord contact.
