Kate Ferdinand Opens Up About Emotional Struggle in Dubai

Kate Ferdinand opens up about her challenges following her family’s move to Dubai. The TV personality and her husband, former footballer Rio Ferdinand, relocated with their children last August. However, the transition has not been easy for them.

In a candid message to her Instagram followers, Kate, 34, revealed she has been feeling out of sorts, describing it as an “emotional hangover.” She expressed that she doesn’t feel like herself, lacking the usual energy and motivation she typically has in January.

Kate explained that the pressure of December, with the hustle of Christmas preparations and family obligations, followed by the expectation to start the new year afresh, has taken a toll on her emotional well-being. She emphasized the importance of acknowledging when one is not feeling okay, even in a society that often promotes a facade of constant positivity.

Acknowledging her struggle with fatigue and emotional strain, Kate decided to prioritize listening to her body and allowing herself to rest instead of pushing herself to meet external expectations. She encouraged her followers to do the same, reassuring them that it’s okay not to feel okay and that self-care should take precedence.

The Ferdinand family, including their children Cree, Shae, Lorenz, Tate, and Tia, made the move to Dubai nearly six months ago, departing from their previous life in London. They join a growing list of celebrities, such as Naomi Campbell and Luisa Zissman, who have opted for a change of scenery for various reasons.
