Moreover, across all devices, performance is expected to be faster, with iPhone and iPad apps launching up to 30% quicker, photos loading up to 70% faster post-capture, and AirDrop transfers up to 80% speedier.
A significant highlight is the introduction of a new set of parental control features aimed at simplifying content management, communication restrictions, and access controls for children using connected devices. Features like “Ask to Browse,” “Time Allowances,” and the new Screen Time feature aim to reduce parental anxiety when handing over iPhones to kids.

Although the complete list of changes is yet to be confirmed, Apple has announced that all iPhones currently running iOS 26 will be eligible for the iOS 27 update. The compatible devices for the new operating system include a range of iPhone models spanning from iPhone 11 to iPhone SE (3rd generation).
